Hollywood's greatest grammys on tv comebacks We have looked in film history through and found some major career comebacks. Movies | 14 October 2013 | by: Rasmus Krarup Jensen
An actor's career often have a tendency to move up and down through the years, and even the best actor can hardly avoid being party to a bad movie or make a bad performance. The important thing, however, is never recovered, and we have found some of the most successful of its kind.
Robert Downey, Jr. The otherwise great actor has had a somewhat checkered grammys on tv past that you include can read in my portrait of him here: http://connery.dk/robert-downey-jr-fra-junkie-til-jernmand.81171.html#_=_ In the center of the abuse he managed to get high praise for its portrayal of Charles Chaplin in 1992, where they still do not understand that he was cheated out of an Oscar statuette. After a more or less huge success in a few episodes of the series, Ally McBeal - where he actually raised viewership higher than it had ever been, just because of his plays - the production company had to fire him because of increasing abuse of drugs . Up to the turn of the millennium he hit bottom in several jails because of noise, abuse and possession of drugs, prompting most to write off this otherwise promising actor. But Downey, jr. came in rehab and with the help of his good friend Mel Gibson, his wife and other acquaintances, he managed to slowly lift themselves grammys on tv up at the top. Among other things, through the film The Singing grammys on tv Detective (2003) Gothika (2003) which opened opportunities for films such as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) and finally, his greatest comeback movies such as Iron Man (2008) and Tropic Thunder (2008). Way to go! Comeback: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Iron Man (2008) grammys on tv Tropic Thunder (2008)
Mickey Rourke Mickey Rourke had great success with horror-thriller Angel Heart (1987) and got melted part girl hearts in various films like the easier erotic tale, 9 Weeks (1986) that put Rourke in the limelight. With a past as a boxer, he decided, however, despite his talents to drop the play and return to the ring. After a seemingly huge beating and plastic operations were Rourke his huge big comeback in The Wrestler (2008), where he plays a superannuated performer who is trying to get a grip on his life while he tries to get a good relationship with his daughter . The performance is undoubtedly his best to date, and you can really call the film a true star-comeback. He also received a minor role in Sin City (2005) which also put the spotlight on his ever-functioning acting skills. Comeback: The Wrestler (2008)
John Travolta After a series of classic 70s movie as a candy haired charmer with wild dance moves in Saturday Night Fever (1977) and a choreographic talented singer in Grease (1978), disappeared Travolta from the radar after a less successful sequel, Stayin 'Alive ( 1983) and a more or less long break from success. He delivered his brilliant comeback in Quentin Tarantino's divine Pulp Fiction (1994) where he played a cool, psychopathic assassin with a smile in øjet- and not least with a possibly grammys on tv satirical approach to his previous films (you remember well the subtle dance tricks with Uma Thurman, who probably turned slightly to his 70 time). I am still amazed that Oscar Academy oversaw this intensely well played grammys on tv performance back in time, but you can happily rejoice that the general citizen can at least see when genuine talent shows on open display. Comeback: Pulp Fiction (1994)
Marlon Brando Marlon Brando grammys on tv has undoubtedly been one of film history's most iconic characters in Hollywood and back in the 1950s, he was no less than five Oscar nominations for films such as A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) and On The Waterfront (1954), but had more or less stalemate career in the 1960s, when he in a number of films served as a box-office grammys on tv disaster. He made a phenomenal comeback in The Godfather (1972), grammys on tv where he played the most iconic character in film history, namely gudfad
