Roman Polanski took home the prize for best director at the French Cesar Awards during Friday evening. His political thriller "The Ghost Writer" got prices even for best screenplay, music and editing. To the best film was appointed contrast, the French film "Gods and men", which deals with the seven French monks murdered in Algeria in 1996. The film was nominated for eleven Cesar award but combed finally home three.
